Wild Fungarium is an independent, family owned, bookshop that celebrates wildlife and the natural world based in the West End of Edinburgh.

We have filled the shop with books covering every subject from the world’s tiniest micro, organisms to the planet's largest mammals and everything in between. We cover themes of botany, birds, biology, biodiversity, insects, fungi, animal behaviour, nature writing, rewilding, ocean life and gardening for wildlife.

We have lots of wildlife inspired gifts, including gardening tools, seeds, stationery, wall art, board games, ceramics and chocolate eggs.

There is a dedicated kid’s section at the back of the shop, with books for every level and our team are always delighted to help you find the perfect book for your young reader.

Our Story

We are Katrina & James we met and fell in love while working together on a Nature Reserve up in the Scottish Highlands. Our shared love of David Attenborough, wildlife and the natural world, brought us together and inspired us to set off on our own wee adventure, one where we could create a space dedicated to wildlife that was accessible to all.
