Gloaming - By Rosie Steer (Hardback)

Rosie Steer’s Celtic ancestors celebrated micro-seasons all-year round. Honouring these mini milestones has enabled her to reclaim wintertime, transforming it from something to fear into something to savour.

Gloaming is a collection of cosy crafts, soul-nourishing recipes and slow living activities inspired by stories and traditions from Scottish folklore, divided into four ancient seasons:· Hairst (harvest)· Samhain (Hallowe’en)· Howe o’the Year (winter solstice)· Waretym (earliest spring). Revel in Rosie’s step-by-step projects such as Clay Pressed Botanical Imprints and an Upcycled Hot Water Bottle Cover; relish her easy-to-make bakes such as Spiced Pumpkin Loaf Cake and Clementine and Almond Buns; and soak up folk stories of Scottish wintertime. Rosie shows us that we can all find glimmers, even amongst the hardest times and the darkest winters.
