FREE KIDS EVENT - Wild Fungarium's Penguin Events (+ FREE set of Ladybird books)

Come and explore the Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh with the Wild Fungarium team as we take a closer look at the nature around us. 

This is a fun morning for kids ages 3-6 and their parents or guardians to get involved too!! We will be spotting and listening for wildlife, and learning some fun facts about nature.

Activity books and colouring in pencils will be provided. We will also have magnifying glasses and wildlife ID guides to lend out. 

Where: Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh, meeting at the East Gate Lodge on Inverleith Row (EH3 5LP). Look out for our team wearing the red and yellow lanyards. 

When: 10.50am on chosen date

Duration: Approx. 45 minutes - 1 hour

Who: Children aged 3-6 years old + parent/guardian 

Kids participating in the event will also receive a free set of books from 'What to look for' series by Ladybird. (One book set per family.) 

(We ask that children only attend one of our free Penguin events) 

Please note that children must attend and participate in the Event to receive the free book set as these will be handed out at the end of the event. 

Parents/guardians will be solely responsible for the safety of their children during the event and must remain with their child/children throughout the whole duration of the event. 

We ask parents to ensure their children (and themselves) are appropriately dressed for being outside and prepared for the weather expected on the day of the event.

The Botanical Gardens do have accessible toilet and changing facilities as well as a cafe/tearoom where refreshments can be purchased.
