- 55mm blades
- Max cut Ø10mm
- KA-70 Carbon Steel
- Yellow Vinyl Handles
- Made in Sanjo, Japan
Best usage:
The straight edge allows users to cut close to the base of a branch or twig without leaving a stub. This helps wounds heal reducing the risk of dieback or infection.
How to use bonsai branch cutters:
- Visualise the shape of your bonsai and decide which branches to remove or shorten.
- Position the blades parallel to the branch with the cutting edge just above the intended cut point.
- Apply firm, steady pressure and close the handles to make a smooth, clean cut.
Care & Maintenance:
- Clean and dry the cutters thoroughly after each use. If working on multiple trees, disinfect the blades between cuts to prevent the spread of disease.
- Sharpen regularly for a clean, crisp cut, and apply a little camellia oil to protect the steel.
- Store in a dry place to prevent rust and corrosion.
