A bag of Bee Mix seed balls, ideal for creating larger wildflower patches.
This carefully selected seed mix is designed to attract honey bees, bumblebees and solitary bees (such as mason bees and mining bees), helping to support the biodiversity and ecosystem of your garden. Each seed ball contains approximately 30 bee-friendly wildflower seeds including Birdsfoot Trefoil, Foxglove, Red Clover, Viper’s Bugloss and Wild Marjoram.
Each bag contains 100 seed balls. They’re really easy to use, simply scatter on top of soil in a garden bed or planter. One bag of seed bombs will cover 5 square metres in a garden bed or 15-25 medium sized pots (leave at least 10cm between each ball).
Best scattered in Spring or Autumn.
All seed balls are made in the UK containing a mixture of UK native wildflower seeds, clay, peat-free compost and chilli powder. The clay protects the seeds from wildlife, and once water has permeated the clay, the seeds inside will germinate, helped along by nutrients and minerals contained within the ball. The chilli powder deters slugs and snails while the seed ball degrades and the seeds start to sprout.
