A beautiful mix of wildflowers that are perfect for attracting birds to our gardens to feed on seeds and insects. According to the RSPB, a lack of habitat and food abundance has lead to huge decline (over 50% in the last 45 years) of many common UK garden bird species.

This Bird Mix is designed to feed the birds for you, and is a much more sustainable option to buying bagged bird feed! The careful selection of plants will boost the food supply for a wide range of birds including goldfinches, blue tits, chaffinches, greenfinches, robins, starlings, increasing the number of birds seen in your garden. Whilst in bloom the flowers will attract insects that many birds feed on, while birds will also feed directly on the plants and seeds themselves.

Each bag contains 100 seed balls. They’re really easy to use, simply scatter on top of soil in a garden bed or planter. One bag of seed bombs will cover 5 square metres in a garden bed or 15-25 medium sized pots (leave at least 10cm between each ball).

Best scattered in Spring or Autumn.

All seed balls are made in the UK containing a mixture of UK native wildflower seeds, clay, peat-free compost and chilli powder. The clay protects the seeds from wildlife, and once water has permeated the clay, the seeds inside will germinate, helped along by nutrients and minerals contained within the ball. The chilli powder deters slugs and snails while the seed ball degrades and the seeds start to sprout.

This mix contains a mix of Corn Marigold (Chrysanthemum segetum), Common Poppy (Papaver rhoeas), Greater Knapweed (Centaurea scabiosa), Sheep Sorrel (Rumex acetosella), Tufted Vetch (Vicia cracca) and Wild Carrot (Daucus carota)
